Underinflated tires on motor vehicles cause crashes due to tire blow-outs, immobilized vehicles, poor handling as well as hydroplaning. ACCU-PRESSURE SAFETY CAPS are a new tire pressure monitor product which will help drivers know when their tire pressure is too low. Ft. Lauderdale ACCU-PRESSURE SAFETY CAPS, INC. is the exclusive distributor for the product. The chrome caps simply go over the tire's valve stem and will display green when the tire pressure is adequate, yellow if approximately four pounds underinflated, and red when approximately ten pounds underinflated.
The NHTSA, the Transportation Deptartment agency responsible for vehicle safety, estimates that monitoring tire pressure could prevent over 10,000 injuries and countless deaths.
"In addition to preventing blow-outs, maintaining proper pressure will minimize wear on the tire", says ACCU-PRESSURE SAFETY CAPS, INC. CEO Adam Goldberg. "This product is simple to use, inexpensive, and provides the driver with a visual reminder to keep tire pressure at the proper level."
The government has proposed a new rule mandating that all vehicles made after November 2003 have systems to warn drivers about low tire pressure. This is in response to last year's recall of 6.5 million Firestone tires.

Checked tire pressure with guage before putting on the tire. Bought the 38psi version. Tire states 41psi max, bike label says 33psi. I keep tires a little over-inflated from owners manual recommended. tires last longer and have better handling, I feel. As tire pressure declines, so does the green flag in the cap, slowly exposing the yellow band. So any yellow band at the very top of the green, slows declining pressure. Great quick visual check of pressure.

I love these things, lots better than the cheap ones u find at walmart.These are metal not plastic,and work really well.I got 20k out of the last tires I had E3's.
