Product Description

New range of bias and belted-bias high-mileage premium touring tires to replace the 491 Elite II in like sizes with black sidewalls.

Substantially improved wear resistance, traction and wet weather performance.

The bias-ply Elite 3 features a new profile modeled after the shape of modern radial-construction tires and shares many of the same benefits.

The load capacity of the E3 rear tire for the Honda GL1500 is increased to 992 pounds for greater carrying capacity.

I just put this tire on my bike-replaced a D404-so far a far superior tire to the D404 in handling and stickiness.

After 2,000 miles on the Elite 3's, I'm convinced that their wet traction and grip is superior to both the stock Bridgestone and the Metzeler ME880. The Elite 3 also does a better job of smoothing the small, sharp bumps in the road without giving up any sure footed action in the twisties and sweepers. Based on other's mileage with the Elite 3, it should be better than the Metzeler. Even if it turns out not to be, I'll still go with the Elite's...They're that good.
