I have used this jacket heavily for two years now and have found the quality to be high. It is very warm with the liner in, also very cool and comfortable when cruising with the liner removed and the vents open in the summer time. The styling is very different so if you don't want one that looks like everyone else's jacket, this is for you.
I live in Colorado Springs and commute to Denver on my motorcycle. It's 50 miles, one way, so if my jacket doesn't perform, I'm miserable. I bought a Kilamanjaro Air jacket and a pair of Firstgear overpants as well. I am very pleased with all of my FirstGear gear and would recommend it highly.
The zipper pulls have failed on two of the zippers. The right handwarmer pocket and the main closure zipper. I replaced the factory metal tabs with some leather thongs I cut from scrap leather I had laying around and they are still functional. I'll continue to replace them as they break and keep the jacket for many years to come.
