We had a Nady and upgraded to a Chatterbox. My husband and I think its great that we can hook up the mp3 player and listen to our own music and we can talk too. But am somewhat surprised at how long the headset lasted. I mean we can only ride for 7 months of the year and we got maybe 14 months use out of the headset.
HEAD SET BREAK EASY WHERE THEY MOUNT TO THE HELMENT. HARD TO HEAR OVER 60 MPH. BUT DID COME IN HANDY WHILE ON A 3400 MILE TRIP. NEED TO HAVE SOME THAT WILL WORK WITH A 1/2 HELMENT.
MOUNTING FOR HEAD SETS BREAK EASY WHERE THEY MOUNT TO HELMENT.ALSO HARD TO HEAR OVER 60 MPH .
Simply bought a replacement boom mike for my Chatterbox 2-channel Sport radio. Mounting system is a little fragile, as is the boom mike itself. Have no idea why the old one quit working, but I did have it for about six years.
Mounts okay to most helmets but one of my helmets required a little material trimmed away.
This is the 2nd headset that I have bought. I really thought they would last longer.
Purchased to talk with the wife when we were both riding. Overall works well. Sometimes hard to regulate due to wind noise with our open faced helmets. Good sound quality with my MP3 player for my road tunes.
Good sound quality. Even with adjustment of the VOX and the use of a full face helmet, the system (microphone) becomes somewhat unusable above 70 MP as the road noise tends to significantly affect the system. My recommendation would be to purchase an optional Push To Talk (PTT) button for long road trips where speeds may exceed 70 MPH for long periods of time.
Catter Box communications system works great on stock motorcycle. The only drwback is that it will not work on bikes or ATVs with loud exhaust systems unless you use the push-to-talk button. This is a good middle -of-the-road system. Others may work better will cost hundreds more. It does the trick and my wife and son can talk to thier hearts content around town. Not to usefull at 65-70 mph.
Easy to install and it works
