I ride in hot weather a lot and this jacket keeps me as cool as just wearing a t-shirt. I was looking for a summer jacket that had protection and this is it. This jacket is easy to put on and take off.

Sporty looks and armor stays in place
By Toby TobiusVerified Reviewer from Texas on 7/5/2007
Pros:
Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish
Best Uses:
Safety, Warm Weather
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I was looking for a mesh jacket that had air flow, but not one that sacrificed protection for air flow. I have had problems with armor staying in place in other mesh jackets. This jacket does not have this problem.

The jacket is sporty in looks, so make sure this is what you want. When I first got the jacket, I had some problems with the zippers snagging portions of the lining material and jamming. I now take a little more time and care in zipping the closures. This may not be a consideration when the jacket is broken in. The jacket has plenty of pockets to the point that they restrict some air flow. I have had other jackets with more air flow but this jacket is a good compromise of safety and air flow. With the exception of the foam back pad which seems to be standard with all jackets, the armor is more substantial than I have found in other mesh jackets. The leather in the jacket restricts some air flow, but should be better than no leather in a get=off.

I have not had the jacket long enough to comment on durability, but it appears well made. I would recommend this jacket if you are looking for a sporty look, good armor (except back pad), and some air flow.

I have not used the insulated layer or the liner, but they look fairly substantial. I don't intend to use this jacket in cold weather, but the color coded connectors should be a big help when installing the two inner layers.

I chose the white color for visibility and warm weather riding. This jacket had more white panels than most other mesh jackets I considered.

perfect fit, great jacket
By DavrosVerified Purchaser from Ohio on 4/24/2007
Pros:
Comfortable, Stylish, Weather Resistant, Well Insulated
Cons:
None so far
Best Uses:
Bad Weather, Long Rides, Safety, Warm Weather
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I'm glad I spent a little more than I planned to because I got a jacket that will be useful in all weather conditions. The fit and construction is top notch. I tried many brands and none fit and moved like this jacket. You don't even know or feel the massive protective pads like in other jackets that feel like they are just tacked or hanging on. Very annoying. Buy this jacket you will not regret it one bit.

Just what i wanted
By rancidf4i from Columbia, MO on 12/19/2006
Pros:
Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish, Weather Resistant, Well Insulated
Best Uses:
Bad Weather, Casual Wear, Long Rides, Safety, Warm Weather

Been looking at this jacket for awhile cause i needed a new one. I got it a couple of weeks ago. And have already rode in 40 and 68 degree weather. It was perfect for both times. Removable liner is fairly thick so it keeps you extra toasty in those cold rides. Have not rode through rain so i don't know the resistance on that but from the way the jacket seems it will repeal water without a problem.

Oh yeah the jacket looks great and can be fully adjusted to fit you there are straps all over this jacket to conform to your body just right. If you have been thinking about this jacket, stop , and just get it, you will not be disappointed.

GX Air Jacket.......
By RoboVerified Purchaser from Garner, NC on 11/24/2006
Pros:
Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish, Weather Resistant, Well Insulated
Cons:
Experienced no cons
Best Uses:
Bad Weather, Long Rides, Safety, Warm Weather

The jacket is a great jacket! Took a short ride in 30 degree temps on Thanksgiving morning and was as warm as could be. To me the best feature is the visibility at night. I really have not had the chance to experience the Abrasive resistibility of the jacket and hope I never do but, I'm sure it will help me leave my skin on my body if I ever do lay the bike down.....

Excellent multi-temperature performance
By SabrehawkVerified Purchaser from Marion, Iowa on 11/6/2006
Pros:
3 layers, Abrasion Resistant, Comfortable, Stylish, Weather Resistant, Well Insulated
Best Uses:
Bad Weather, Long Rides, Multi-Temperature Rides, Safety, Warm Weather

This jacket has an excellent combination of safety, performance, and style. The two removable layers (one for cold, one for wind and rain) and the breathable outer layer provide great multi-temperature riding. The leather shoulders, elbows, and lower back look great and holds their form better than the Joe Rocket mesh jacket I compared it with. Great jacket!
