This is the first helmet I bought to wear while riding. While I feel this is a good helmet for Helmet law states, there are even BETTER helmets that are DOT.

The problem with this helmet isnt in its ability to protect the rider, rather it is REALLY big. I have a fairly large head at 24", but this thing on top of my skull looks like it should be able to receive satellite signals! Its huge! There is a slight drag when your head is straight, but you can really feel it pull if you turn your head at speed.

There are other choices out there that are just as safe, but smaller and thinner. Good beginners helmet, but if your looking for a low profile helmet, this is not it.

Good helmet for protection, but too bulky and will catch itself in the slipstream with alot of pull to be able to solidly recommend this helmet.

the padding is too thick, it makes the helmet sit up high on your head. if you're looking for a low profile, this ain't the one
